What i did for New Year's Eve

Hi again, well i was bored so i thought i would tell a bit about what i did for new year's eve. Well, to start off the night we ordered chinese from my favorite chinese place. We browsed the TV channels while we ate our mouth wateringly wonderful chinese food then we decided to watch that movie The Help. But first, I started to make the chocolate cake and ganache. The cupcakes turned out gorgeous and delicious with a drizzle of ganache and topped with some cold whipped topping. We watched the movie which was quite good, i thoroughly enjoyed it and i would recommend it to everyone. I had a fantastic New Year's Eve with my family and i hope yours was enjoyable too!!

Fall 2011 Outfit #3

Hi again, this is another outfit in which i have also used my black waterfall cartigan. I have paired it with some black flats and black jeans, a emerald green tee-shirt and also to keep it comfy and cozy i have added a knitted, black and white tube scarf. I would wear this and in fact i did wear this to go run around town and and pick up a few things.

How to take your Summer Dress to Fall 2011

I took my black and white printed summer dress: threw on a waterfall black cartigan. Instead of sandals I put on nylons and a pair of ballet flats with ankle straps. I also wore my adorable black flapper hat.
For my makeup i kept it neutral with my regular foundation routine and soft browns on the eye with loads of mascara and to finsh it off natural pink blush, also a light tinted lip balm on my lips. So that is one look i have put together for fall 2011. Hope ya'll liked it!

Statement Jewelry

Adding statement jewelry to an outfit is a great way to vamp it up. Adding a statment necklace to a simple dress can work miracles. Taking it from a so so outfit to a wow outfit. But don't overload on statement jewelry and go overboard. Too much jewelry can make you look over done. If you want to go the bracelet route, stack on a few bracelets and maybe a cuff, keeping the jewelry to the same kind of theme and you've nailed it!
Anyways, I am thinking for my next post, to style a few different outfits for fall. So keep your eyes out for that! ttyl-Lady Linden

Favorite Hair and Makeup Products

Ok, so today I am going to tell you about my favorite hair and makeup products. We all know that to look fresh and stylish, you must have the right hair and makeup to top off your look. So let's get started! The foundation i am using at the moment is by Bobbie Brown, it's the natural finish long lasting foundation with SPF 15, in 0 Porcelain. I would definitely recommend it! This foundation actually matched my fair skin and didn't turn orange. And it goes on very easily. Another product I love is by MAC and it is their powder blush in Well Dressed. I love this blush, it adds just the right amount of pink to the cheeks. One of my must haves is, the Urban Decay Primer Potion(the original one). One of the first eye shadows I ever got was, MAC's wedge. It is a great color for the crease and looks really natural on my skin tone. Now, on to HAIR! I use a Conair blow dryer and my shampoo is Shampoo 2 by Paul Mitchel. I like to use a round brush to curl my short hair under and if needed i will use ISO daily-shape working spray to smooth fly aways. There are so many ways to do your hair and makeup so when picking out your outfit in the morning keep your hair and makeup in mind too. If you have a awesome outfit and your makeup and hair look crumby, the awesome outfit somehow is not so awesome anymore. One more tip, always put on a smile when getting ready in the morning! That makes a big difference on your look as well. Happy Styling!-Lady Linden

Shopping on a budget

I enjoy getting fabulous deals, it's all about the hunt. Second-hand shops and places like Ross, T.J Max, and Marshalls are places to find cute stuff for a good price. You can also keep an eye out for big sales and always look through the clearance racks. One tip for shopping at second-hand shops or vintage is to always try the idem on. This way you know how it actually looks on you and if it fits. You should never judge a idem of clothing by the way it looks on the hanger. Also, the taylor is your best buddy. I have short arms so alot of times i need to get the sleeves shortened. Another awesome thing about getting a good deal is that you have money left over to get things taylored, if needed. One fun way to get clothes and accessories for free is to have a swap party. The guests bring clothes and accessories they don't use anymore or don't fit and swap them with the other guests. Very fun, and in the end you get "new to you" clothes for free. I hope this was helpful, now get out there and do some bargain- hunting!

Things and Trends I'm Loving for Fall 2011

Hello friends! Ok Fall/winter 2011 is coming up and I am so excited!! The colder weather just makes me want to curl up with a good book and drink hot chocolate; but enough about me let me tell you all about the fashion looks and trends! Ok there are some trends that are popular for fall and I think always will be, which are-- Plaid, Black, Fur, and sleeves. I love plaid, it kinda makes me think about that school girl look. And plaid is a good way to add color to an all black outfit. Black is magic and i'll tell you why it can make you seem smaller and slimmer and absorbs heat so it will make you feel a little warmer. Fur adds a touch of elegance to a look and happens to be a big trend this fall/winter. Long sleeves is a must for me, it makes you warmer in those cold months and can be another fun element of design.

Lady-like chic is a big trend as well that I am pleased to see. More of an elegence and a prettiness is the key to this trend. Try pairing an a-line skirt with a lacey top and some type of a colored sweater. For the makeup this season, natural/neutral makeup is in. But there were also pops of color seen on the runways. This pic i have of Taylor swift is a good example of natural makeup and would look lovely with the lady-like trend. Please watch the video i have above and i hope you have a spendid rest of your day!
